Dying fabric has proven to be surprisingly therapeutic. The process encourages me to work at a slower pace + I’ve learned to embrace the beauty in having less control over the end product. I enjoy the subtle variations that reveal themselves after the soaks are complete, despite my intentional efforts of mimicking patterns. A creative practice that allows for spending time outside is an added perk to the overall experience of this playful exercise.

I now have an assortment of cloths and napkins handy at all times (in my kitchen, bathrooms, gardening bag, etc) — swapping disposables for these 100% cotton, washable linens. I’ve stopped relying on throwaways and love putting these out for guests.
